In these paintings, I map invented constellations across botanical portraits of personal significance:  a good friend’s raspberry brambles, the ailanthus tree my father hated, a fig tree in honor of my aunt. Everything is made of the same ancient stardust, but by some luck it sometimes coalesces into flowers, fruit, or people we love.
